ADULT AGRICULTURE

(E-mail Shawn Harper)

Continuing education in farm management and related agricultural skills is provided through intensive evening classes during the winter months and on-farm supervision every month as required.

Special needs are addressed through short-term courses for farm employees; farm tax planning and record keeping; and farm safety including proper use and application of agricultural pesticides. These classes are designed to help young adult farmers, as well as individuals employed in agribusiness, keep up with the constantly changing technology in the field of agriculture.

Office visits and individualized instruction can be provided on request to workers enrolled in the adult agriculture program.

This program is housed at the Purchase Training Center, which is located on Highway 45 North at 234 Pioneer Industrial Drive near Mayfield, Kentucky. For more information about courses offered at the Purchase Training Center, phone (270) 247-9633.
